Advertisements are the primary source of revenue for television channels.
The IBDF Credit & Collections Committee aims to support the timely realization of broadcasters’ dues from media agencies and clients, in line with agreed credit terms. The Committee meets regularly to review outstanding payments, engage with agencies and clients to discuss pending dues, and work towards amicable solutions.
In cases of persistent delays, broadcasters may request payments through Advance or Post-Dated Cheques (PDCs) to safeguard their interests. When a client transitions from one agency to another, the Committee facilitates adherence to established procedures to ensure a smooth and transparent process.
The Committee also assists in resolving payment-related disputes between broadcasters, advertisers, and media agencies. Its engagement spans across AAAI member agencies as well as non-member agencies, including entities such as DAVP, NFDC, and DIPRs.
